Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 May 2025
These terms govern your use of the Pigeon Mail service. By creating an account, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Pigeon Mail. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
2. The service
Pigeon Mail is a letter-forwarding service. Senders post handwritten letters to our postal address with a one-time code. We verify the code and forward the letter to the intended recipient. We do not open or read the contents of any letter.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You may only create one account per person.
- Recipient usernames must not impersonate another person or organisation.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Credits and payments
- Credits are purchased in advance and used to send letters.
- 1 credit is reserved when you generate a one-time code.
- The credit is spent when we receive and forward your letter.
- Once a letter has been forwarded, the credit is non-refundable.
- Credits expire 12 months after purchase.
5. Prohibited content
You must not send letters that contain:
- Threats, harassment, or abuse.
- Illegal material of any kind.
- Anything designed to cause distress or fear.
- Items other than paper (no parcels, objects, liquids, or powders).
We reserve the right to refuse to forward any letter at our discretion, and to permanently ban users who violate these rules. Refunds will not be issued for letters refused due to a violation.
6. Blocking and reporting
Recipients may block any sender at any time. Once blocked, all future letters from that sender to that recipient will be discarded without being forwarded, and no refund will be issued to the sender. Recipients may also report unwanted letters to us for review.
7. Address privacy
We will never disclose a recipient's postal address to a sender, or a sender's address to a recipient. Sender return addresses on envelopes are covered before forwarding. This is a core commitment of the service.
8. Limitation of liability
- Pigeon Mail is a forwarding service only. We are not responsible for the content of any letter sent through the service.
- We are not liable for letters lost, damaged, or delayed by the postal service.
- We do not guarantee delivery times. Forwarding depends on postal service performance.
- Our total liability to you is limited to the value of credits you have purchased.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
